Annie Dressner - Moving to the UK.

Story and interview by Chris Koppers, photo courtesy of Annie Dressner

Annie left her hometown of New York City and entered the United Kingdom with her “passionate, conversational awkwardness” which can be testified on her debut album named Strangers who knew each other's names.

Annie is currently on tour. All her tour dates can be seen here:
www.facebook.com/anniemakesmusic

I feel honored to publish a short interview with her:

What is your main motivation for composing your poignant lyrics?

Whitney Acke - Listen to her veritable songs

Story and interview by Chris Koppers, photo courtesy of Whitney Acke

Whitney Acke is a unique singer/songwriter from Lexington, KY. Her music, her uncanny knack, opens a land full of emotions and it is all accompanied by passionate melodies.
Whitney talked to me about her unabashed love: music.  She shows up with one of her poignant songs and it is like a bolt of lightning. Her penchant for getting the best of her songs and her lyrics will catapult Whitney to one of the best songwriters in the U.S..

Please learn more about Whitney. How?
Check the interview.

Your song I can't do this anymore seems to be a very personal song for you. How did you compose it? Based on personal experience? What is the key element (lyrics or melody, or even both)?

Tatiana Moroz - Make a youtube video!

Story and interview by Chris Koppers

Tatiana Moroz fell in love with the stage. The stage is her realm. Her guitar is her transmitter for her audience. Her thrilling voice with a hint of vulnerability takes her listeners to another galaxy.

Growing up in New Jersey and a graduate of the known Berklee College of Music, Tatiana can softly penetrate your understanding of emotional music and re-write it for you. She commenced singing at the age of ten. Fascinated by Phantom of the Opera, Cat Stevens, Carly Simon and Madonna, she diligently crafted her own style and came up with her first introspective debut album. Tatiana is a hardworking and very dedicated musician and you can witness that by checking her schedule out. She is touring around the U.S. on a non-stop basis. She performs for thousands of stunned folks. Look for Tatiana and her ’68 Gibson acoustic guitar – a singer/songwriter on a top notch level.

Jacqui Taylor - A celestial lady with her guitar

Story and interview by Chris Koppers / photos courtesy of Jacqui Taylor

Her movements are genteel. You can feel her devotion. She runs her own studio where she can experiment with her magic. Immediately, you will notice she came in to perform her religion. Music. You do not have to be pious, but you should be ready for her music, because it is pure vanilla.

Jacqui Taylor is a composer/guitar teacher and is the guitartist for TWO bands: The Clan Destined and Razorbladekisses. Moreover, Jacqui is a University of Brighton graduate in music and art.

Alex Schultz produces buoyancy with his guitar

Story and photo by Chris Koppers

The New Yorker released his first solo album "Think about it" that manifested his scrumptiousness.

Normally, he can be seen as the sideman for some well-known harpists. Alex is not that eloquent, but he is not here for some wordy conversations - he enters the stage for playing guitar. There is a nimbus that accompanies him. Fairly hard to describe it - you submerge and enjoy his musical feats.
A true Blues gem.

I received thumbs up by Alex Schultz as soon as he sighted my Rolleiflex Automat.
It was time to play and time to depress the shutter release.

Lydia had some time to share somewhat for my humble person.
