Ashley Forrest
Interview by Chris Koppers/images courtesy of Ashley Forrest

Please welcome Ashley with her latest release "Pourin' over me".

The charismatic young lady comes along with brand-new material that will beguile your senses.

Ashley tells us about her current projects, her sweetest moments on stage, and she talks about what will occur in 2014.

What is your current project?

I’m busy working with my band leader Lee Jordan as we prepare for our premiere band performance in November. Plus, I’m in the middle of the national release for my single Pourin’ Over Me, that is being distributed by GMV Nashville on the Truro Entertainment Group label.

What is your favorite song you have performed so far?

Pourin’ Over Me which is my newest single being release nationally last week. My producer Grammy-nominated Mark Moffatt and I knew from the very beginning that this would be my favorite song.

What was your sweetest moment on stage?

While all the little kids really melt my heart, I’d have to say one of my sweetest moments would have to be when one of my little fans, Maggie, had went to the Lego store and made me a little Lego of me as a gift and gave it to me right before my performance In Annapolis, MD! Funny thing is that it looked EXACTLY like me y’all! It was so sweet of her. My other moment would have to be when The Landis family totally surprised me and presented a birthday gift to me while I was on stage at the end of one of my performances in Middletown, DE. I was so surprised! They’re such wonderful people! These two moments are moments I’ll cherish forever. Completely surprised by both! I have the best fans ever!

Where do you get your inspiration from?

My inspiration is from my own experiences and memories. I always write from my heart.

Do you have a music artist in mind you would love to work with?

Rascal Flatts, Brad Paisley, or Carrie Underwood!

Where will you see yourself in 2014?

Giving my award acceptance speech at the CMA Awards ceremony. Before and after that, I hope to be touring with the Armed Forces Entertainment network to entertain our troops around the world. I appreciate what our soldiers, sailors, airmen, and the Coast Guard does for us.

Please complete:

My music is.......relatable to everyone. Everyone goes through ups and downs, happiness and sorrow. It’s real, which is what Country music stands for.

Please pick one and tell us why:
a) I love composing songs in a studio.

b) I love to be on tour.

c) I love to be online and promote my music via social networks.

Ok, this one is IMPOSSIBLE for me to choose just one because I can’t live without either! I love writing because it gives me a chance to tell my story and for my fans to get to really know me as a person. I also love to perform and entertain. In fact, this is my favorite aspect of what I do because I get to interact with my fans and I get to put smiles on people’s faces. This is most rewarding for me. Finally, I also love to be on social networks not only to promote my music, but it gives me a chance to get to know my fans. I love hearing and learning about other’s experiences and what makes them who they are.

How would you define success?

Being happy with my achievements and making my fans happy through my music. Part of my happiness comes from helping others through my performances; this includes performing for and visiting our Wounded Warriors who are my real heroes.

Where can we find/purchase your music?

At iTunes and other digital platforms, and at my online merchandise store at or
